Ferrite magnets or SrO-6(Fe2O3) are more commonly known as ceramic magnets. It is a type of permanent magnet made from ferrite –– containing ceramic elements and iron oxide Fe2O3.


For its cost, ferrite magnets can be reliable in everyday applications because of their resistance to demagnetization and high magnetic permeability.


Ferrite magnets can either be isotropic or anisotropic:


 Isotropic: magnetized in any direction but weaker magnetic properties
Anisotropic: has a preferred magnetization direction and has stronger magnetic properties along that direction
